White Spot Disease Testing

Another round of testing for white spot disease has commenced in Moreton Bay.

Prawn and crab samples will be collected from Moreton Bay, Brisbane River, Logan River and Pine River. Following this testing, prawn samples will be tested from locations along the Queensland Coast between the Sunshine Coast and Cooktown.

Of 27 key Victorian managed fisheries rated in the report, 17 were classified as green (stocks not of concern under current management), 10 were amber (current management expected to reduce risk to stocks) and pleasingly, and none were red (depletion of fish stock is likely).
