Stealth Hornet 510 + Yamaha F115 4-Stroke boat review

This brand new model from Quintrex is an evolution of one of the most famous and prestige fishing boats in Australian history, the Hornet.

As with all Quintrex’s the boat is carried on the Quintrex Aluminium I-beam trailer which makes boating and trailering easy and stress free.

The Stealth Hornet picklefork fighter series hull is deceptively well performing. It’s incredibly stable, yet performs well off shore in choppy conditions. The cornering is exceptional and with the picklefork front, the chines are out super wide which gives amazing stability at rest. The main benefits of this hull is a wide flat area towards the rear of the boat with a nice sharp v-entry. It’s the best of both worlds – a wide flat area for stability and a v-entry for splicing the water and riding on confused aerated water.

All of these benefits are the result of 10’s of years of research and development on Quintrex’s part.

On the back is one of our favourites, the Yamaha F115hp 4-Stroke. This is a wonderfully reliable and efficient motor. Punches way above it’s weight and competes well against higher horse power motors.

As you’d expect with this kind of boat, the electronics are top of the range. A MASSIVE Humminbird sounder/fishfinder/combo as well as a Minn Kota electric anchor which is becoming a very popular addition to many boats these days and will probably become a standard for boats in the not to distant future.

The layout of the boat is very particular and suits the tournament style fishing very well. There’s huge cast platforms on the front and rear. The 3 seats in the middle of the boat fold down to extend the rear casting platform by a substantial amount.

A massive live bait tank or live well is a must. Plenty of storage space for all of your tackle, and even some room for your rods in special internal rod storage.
