QLD Fisheries Boat Ramp Survey

Who measures more than 20,000 fish in a year?

Qld Fisheries

That’s right, their Boat Ramp Survey program has measured more than 20,000 fish in the 12 months up to the end of October 2017.

They survey 49 boat ramps across Queensland, from the Gulf to the Gold Coast up to four times per month, collecting information on 41 species from participating recreational fishers.

It’s the largest boat ramp survey program in Australia but it’s only a component of our overall monitoring program.
